Who we are
Our starting point is a useful free result.
Smart Learning Path is a small website about beginner Spanish, published at thesmartlearningpath.com. The lessons, guides and printable tools are written by the Smart Learning Path editorial team. We do not list named teachers or coaches because we do not have any to introduce yet.
Start small.
Practise one manageable task before adding more.
Make it useful.
Choose phrases for moments that matter to you, such as ordering a drink or asking someone to repeat.
Keep access simple.
Use the open lessons and free tools without buying anything or creating an account.
Built around everyday situations.
Our readers are English-speaking adults who are new to Spanish and have a practical reason to start: a trip, a move to a Spanish-speaking place, or relatives they would like to greet in their own language. Many do not know what to say or practise first. That is the problem we try to solve.
Beginner practice supports small interactions; it does not cover every reply or situation.
How the practice works.
Each lesson gives you a few phrases with their English meaning and one short task. You work through it in four steps, then come back to the difficult phrases on another day.
1. Read and understand.
Check the Spanish and its English meaning.
2. Say it aloud.
Try both roles in a short dialogue.
3. Cover and recall.
Use your own name or a useful substitution.
4. Check and revisit.
Return to the example and repeat on another day.
Hola. Me llamo Ana. ¿Cómo te llamas?
Hello. My name is Ana. What is your name? Replace Ana with your name, look away and try again. ¿Cómo te llamas? is familiar singular, the form you would use with someone your own age in a relaxed setting. Open the complete sample lesson.

The lessons, the 7 Day Spanish Starter Plan, the Conversation Rescue Card and the 10 Minute Practice Planner are free, and they will stay useful on their own.
We are planning optional paid support for people who want more: a Spanish Starter Toolkit, a small-group Four-Week Conversation Course and a monthly Practice Membership. None of these is available yet. There are no dates, no booking and no checkout. You can read what is planned on the pricing page.
We have no affiliate relationships and no sponsors. When we mention another learning product, we do not earn anything from it. Because we plan our own paid options, we have a commercial interest wherever we compare them, and we say so on those pages.
What we are not.
- We do not offer an accredited qualification or a proficiency certificate.
- We do not promise fluency, a level or a fixed learning speed. Individual progress varies.
- Our Spanish is checked by our editors. There has been no independent teacher review yet.
- Dialogues are original practice examples, not recorded conversations or learner results.
Clear expectations, no fluency promises.
Practice, not a proficiency test.
Self-checks help you choose what to repeat.
Examples, not customer results.
Sample dialogues illustrate tasks; they are not learner outcomes.
